About
Swedish composer Gunnar Johnsén, better known as his alias Alan Ellis, creates music for the soul. Growing up in Härnösand, he spent his young years soaking up his father’s eclectic and substantial taste in music. With encouragement from his family to begin piano lessons, Gunnar’s musical skills were immediately evident and unique. His mastery of the piano would eventually make him a multi instrumental musician, touring Canada as a drum player. Now Gunnar lives in Uppsala as his music production career has come to an all time swell. His remarkably nostalgic and sentimental compositions are reminiscent of the lullabies we heard as children. A feeling of warmth with faint raindrops trickling down the windows. With nearly 150 million streams and a rapidly growing international fanbase, Gunnar’s music allows introspection in a way most composers can not.
