About
Arden Forest is a solo pianist who originates from the south of Sweden. As a child, he was inspired by watching his cousin play the drums and piano, and as a result began to learn drums at nine years of age. During his early teenage years he diversified this interest by picking up both the piano and the guitar. More recently, Arden Forest has been experimenting with various genres, playing in touring bands and composing on a freelance basis. Today, he resides in Gothenburg where he composes music on his grandparents’ old Schimmel piano. Arden Forest’s music is inspired by everything from renaissance composers to modern minimalism. When composing, he often focuses on a specific color frequency, subsequently trying to produce a musical world that reflects his appreciation of the relationship between colors and sound. “Coral Red”, which has been played over 22 million times on Spotify, is a prime example of the effectiveness of this unique technique.
