About
Based in Stockholm, Sweden, Hushed comprises the musicians Anders Schill Paulsen and Kasper Lindgren. With over 40 million streams on Spotify and near-permanent residence on playlists such as “Sleep” (over 2.8m followers), “Sueño Profundo” (over 1.3m followers) and “Music For Concentration” (over 940,000 followers), the duo has established itself as a prominent figure in ambient music. Both Anders and Kasper had early introductions to music: at age 4, Anders heard the Beatles for the first time, sparking a fascination with music that saw him learn piano as a child, study at Adolf Fredrik’s Music School, play drums in several Stockholm-based bands, experiment with music production and finally become one half of Hushed. Kasper, as part of a musical family, was surrounded by a whole host of different instruments throughout his childhood. At just 11 years of age, he started his first band, “Prime STH”; the act played together for 19 years, touring across Europe and the US for nine of those years. Originally meeting through a mutual friend, Anders and Kasper began collaborating in December 2016. Their self-confessed “nerdy” approach to music production sees them tweak and perfect different sounds as “seeds from which to grow songs” such as “Sibyl” (over 17 million Spotify streams) and “By Night” (over 12 million Spotify streams). In 2017, Hushed released the debut EP, “Pillars” alongside “A Faint Glow” and finally “In Dreams” in 2018.
