About
Peachwood mixes intricate production, experimental sound design, virtuosic instrumentation, and excessive programming to create musical splatter paintings that throw restraint out the window. Pulling heavy inspiration from electronic, jazz, DNB, soul, funk, IDM, city pop, lo-fi, and ambient music, the songs rarely stick to a conventional structure and often oscillate wildly between atmospheres and genres. Despite the technical complexity, the music has an air of childlike playfulness and doesn't take itself too seriously. Originally formed as a duo with guitarist Ameer Zhowandai, Peachwood is now the solo project of producer and visual artist Larkin Dawson. The pair still collaborate frequently.
