About
Johan Eriksson is a Swedish musician and producer based out of Falun, Sweden. For over a decade he has worked as a composer for theatre, concert and film alongside developing his own artist projects. Simultaneously, he’s continued to hone his craft through studies and in 2020 he graduated with a PhD from The Royal Birmingham Conservatoire. Eriksson has always been fascinated by the limitless possibilities inherent to music and drawn to the challenge of mastering different genres. The River Foxcroft project started with his newfound love for the Dobro guitar. He took lessons from the great Mike Witcher and the tunes started to evolve in tandem with learning the instrument. With a mix of folk and modern blues he carries the listener through misty mountains passes and desolate countrysides with his unparalleled sensibility to harmony and quality of tone.
