About
Growing up on an eclectic diet of Afrobeat and reggae provided by his father’s record collection, Say3 is a versatile force musically. Inspired by his father’s love of music, Say3 took up the drums at the age of 12. It was only a few years later that Say3 discovered a world of global sounds, jazz and the rhythms of house music. From there, Say3 promptly sold his drum set, and began focusing on molding his sound creating genre bending remixes. Gathering attention with Say3's undeniably rhythmic drums, Say3 has shared the stage with well-known DJs such as Ape Drums, DJ Lag and Bas, who he also collaborated with through a Jameson project in 2021. Say3 was brought in to remix Bas and Earthgang’s song "Jollof Rice" which was released by Dreamville. Say3 has released a steady stream of original tracks and remixes throughout the last few years including three compilations of afro-edits which has gained him supporters from around the world. Say3 lives in Brooklyn, NY, where he continues to push his unique global sound.
